Hello everyone !
First I want to apologize for my English mistakes, it's not my mother tongue.
I know that my question may seem ridiculous but according to you : do you think it's easier to have a perfect understanding of Russian or in both Spanish and Portuguese with 6 years ?
I know that the two last one are different but I'm curious to know. (knowing the fact that I'm french and I have some skills in Italian).
Cordially,
JT

It will be easier for you to learn Spanish and/or Portuguese since they are both Romance languages, like French. Unless you get super motivated to learn Russian.
Bonne chance ;)

Yeah, it would be a lot easier for you to learn Spanish and Portuguese rather than
Russian but that's not to say that you shouldn't learn Russian. Learn whichever one
you're more interested in and you think you'll enjoy the most. Good luck!

Thank you for your answers!
I'm interested in the three of them but I may choose the Spanish and Portuguese ; in fact, I fear to be unable to understand Russian perfectly within 6 years, I've just kept reading that it was very difficult.

Passively the Romance ones will be easier. And you don't have to do much formal study, just watch movies and sports, listen to audiobooks and music, read books...
Actively it's definitely easier to get skills in one language than in two, especially two similar ones.

Thanks.
I am more interesting in getting passive skills but do you think that 6 years can be enough to know them actively ? I would spend one year in each country.

Depends on how good you'd like to be actively and whether you'll be studying other languages. I've been learning Portuguese/Italian/Spanish for half this time and as you can see I'm not fluent in any of them yet. But I don't speak any other modern Romance language and I don't really have any opportunities to practice these languages here in Russia. Plus I study 5967445 others;)
