And 'in my opinion'.

This is without a doubt my least favorite internetism. I understand people say it to be nice, and keep their statements from being too blunt, but (IMHO?), it is obvious that if you say something it is your opinion.

To the OP, George Lopez does a great skit about Mexican-Americans saying "basically" too much. "Basically, I went to the store, and basically, I bought some milk."

Just looking at some of my posts here on HTLAL, I use "actually", "in any case", "for
example", "that said", "honestly" a lot. It's a pretty good reflection of my speech too,
as far as I can tell.

Really? I can't remember the last time I've said "basically".

In Spanish, I use the word "aunque" a lot. I also use "pues/pos" too much to be legal.

In English, I have to admit I use "like" a lot. I'm nineteen, so I'm hoping that
provides some sort of excuse. A phrase I use occasionally is, "Despite the fact..."
(which ties in with "aunque").

I'm guilty of saying "awesome" an awful lot. ( but sometimes something just IS totally AWESOME!!!) I know I need to
cull my usage of it.

Funny about "actually". I think that is my 9 year old daughter's favorite word ... or perhaps she just likes to argue!

In English I say OK way too often (so much so that while I'm generally able to separate my
Bulgarian and English vocabularies, I tend to blurt out "OK" while speaking in Bulgarian
too often). In Bulgarian, I say "добре" too often, only in the meaning of "OK" though, not
so much in the meaning of "good".

I tend to use "Indeed", "In my opinion", "In my experience", and "To be honest" quite often. In speech, I do tend to use "Indeed" a lot as well, while the others I only use when I'm discussing something more complex or when I'm explaining something.

In Spanish, I tend to use "Claro que..." a lot, and in Arabic,
"طبعا".

EDIT: In Guarani, "Iporaiterei" is one of my favorite words to utter. It's an equivalent to "awesome" or "extremely good" in English.

Unfortunately, I tend to overuse "OK" in Italian, too ("tutt'OK"), and I hate it every
time it falls out of my mouth. But it's a byproduct of my Italian friends. They all
overuse it, too.
