I wonder what provision (if any) will be made for languages other than English at the London Olympics. Traditionally the results were announced in English and French in addition to the local language. But I'm not sure if French is still used in this capacity.
I was impressed with the multi-lingual set-up at the Euro 2012 football tournament in Poland/Ukraine. Watching on TV, you could often hear announcements being made and I heard 4 languages in use during one match. Edited by beano on 16 July 2012 at 3:20pm 1 person has voted this message useful |
