Well then, that was a whole lot of whining about nothing.

I already tried it. Apparently I'm not intelligent enough, because it doesn't work well for me (not as well as just normal reading and listening, that is).

To leosmith
I was bored a little bit so I thought I would start a fight once more, and you reacted accordingly. But I changed my mind. It is much better now.
You're right, it's much ado about nothing. But you needn't worry, you're intelligent enough to use textbooks.
As a former teacher you should know this: Nemo sapiens nisi patiens. I'm just a juvenile delinquent, I won't reform.
What about a virtual cup of Japanese sake? Let bygones be bygones. Even leserables forgave me, so why shouldn't you?

I was a volunteer math and physics teacher in Tanzania. My training didn't include latin. Sorry, you're still just a little too sharp for me.

Ok. But for pure entertainment value, may I continue to disagree with you?

Most textbooks are geared to schools. That means they have to be politically correct. Heaven forbid somebody's Mommy is offended by a topic related to real life. This sounds ridiculous but unfortunately it's not.
Also colleges are required to be intellectually respectable and impressive to their peers. What the student learns may be what the college needs him or her to learn to support their reputation.
I find magazines are far better for learning.

You might investigate having your caps key checked. It seems to be getting stuck.

And you'd better put your thinking cap on. If you have any.
I might be crazy, but I'm not a nut.

Nope, I don't have a thinking cap. And darned if Wal*Mart isn't plum out. I guess this means I need bow to your superior cognitive skills and freestyle capitalization rules. I know when I've been bettered.

My apologies to all for cluttering this forum/thread with this and my previous off-topic post. As replies have already been made, I'll not delete this. However, so as not to add yet another off-topic posting, I'll update this post rather than add another off-topic diatribe. Paul

To TreoPaul again
I type as I see fit and you seem to be having a fit of apoplexy.
Why superior? Just my opinion. Is it your inferiority complex or what?
