I received an email from Jim Heisig the other day about Remembering the Hanzi book 2. With his permission to disclose this information specifically to the users of this forum, I have copy-pasted the mail below:
Quote:
Dear Jens,
Sorry not to get back to you sooner. Book 2 has been delayed by Tim's overbooked schedule at the University. We had hoped to have it more or less done by now, but I really cannot give you a date. Everything depends on his catching up and then the ball's landing again in my court.
Best wishes.
J. W. Heisig |

Thanks for the update. Would it be possible for you to ask him how much of the book has actually been completed? That way, it might give some indication of how long it will be before it is actually sent to press.

I have asked him a similar question but have not received a reply yet. My guess is that they are both extremely busy. If I learn anything of value I will post it.

Great news? It's bad news...the book's been delayed!
Anyway, I found this on another forum. Regarding the completion status of the second book:
Quote:
As for Book 2, it is still in progress. I would say we are over 50% done and are working to complete it within the time available to us after other academic duties. Please keep an eye on the internet page (http://www.nanzan-u.ac.jp/SHUBUNKEN/pub … zi%201.htm) for information about when it will be available. You might start looking from around mid-winter. |
