@napoleon "news books" "livre d'actualités" does not exist in French "news" a Frenglish word to mean "actualités , les actualités or nouvelles" in French.
"les livres des les actualite" the word "des" is never in front of "les" I want to give a explication with examples :
1.EN : Words FR : Des mots
2.EN : Words FR : Mots
3.EN : The indians FR : Les indiens

@Serpent Thank about your message , your opinion is interessant.
About ж or /ʑ in IPA , I never heared this sound in French , this sound exists maybe in some French dialects. Me in my region (Parisian region) I hear /ʒ a post-alveolar consonant and never /ʑ a retroflex consonant.
Example : Journal = /ʒuʁ'nal

Hmmm. There's even a rule - "жи, ши пиши через и". Are you sure zh is softened? Even native speakers simply have to be taught that it's и, not ы after these letters. I'd say a normal ʒ would sound better than the sound you end up producing. Btw ци/цы, ч/чь and ш/шь are also purely traditional/etymological/whatever and don't show any real distinctions in modern Russian.
Oh and work on your soft d as well and on consonant clusters. здесь was only intelligible because it was before тут. In general, if you can't pronounce certain consonants one after another, it's better to insert a weak vowel than not to pronounce one at all. zides' is better than des'.
I just remembered - this site has been recommended: http://www.study-languages-online.com/russian-articulation.h tml Hopefully you'll find it useful!
