Hi,
I'm little nervous since this is my first log. Even though I've been interested in languages for years, I could never achieve fluency because of my speech impairment. However, since I have it under control now, that I should be able to learn a second language.
Why French? Because I studied in high school (I always failed the oral tests) and I have a good base for it. Plus, there is a french playgroup in my area where I can practice and, hopefully, I won't get mocked.
Why now? I just discovered the 'fluent in 3 months' website. I found it inspiring.
My goal is by the year is to have 10 minute conversation in french without making a mistake.
I have to admit that conversing with french speakers scares me and takes me out of comfort zone. Hopefully, I will be able to conquer my fear and will achieve my dream as being bilingual.

Good luck with your French! I hope you achieve your goals. :-)
I like Benny's site, too. His blog is what originally led me here.
