I'm a bit confused. What is the book? Is it the textbook or is it the workbook?

The whole programme is comprised of 52 videos, a textbook, 2 workbooks and audio.
(You can also get the textbook in 2 parts)
According to the first video, this is how you are supposed to use the course:
Step 1 Watch the video (no books)
Step 2 Listen and participate in Text Work Up/Mise en Oeuvre (audio)
Step 3 Open the textbook and review what you have learned (textbook)
Step 4 Do the Activities in the workbook with the audio (workbook)
The textbook is mainly the episode transcripts, so if you look back through this thread and use the links you will have the audio and text and will only need to get the videos.
Once you have the videos you will have enough materials to do the first 3 steps.
I suppose there are two ways of looking at the course, you could do the first three steps and a lot of people have used it this way or you could get the workbooks and do Step 4 as well.

Hi everyone - my first post here. What an amazing language learning resource this is!!!!
I'm trying to see if I can download the workbooks for FIA. I have the videos (thank you Ebay) and audio (download),
and the textbook (Ebay again for £2!!!) - but cannot find the workbooks anywhere for less than about $50...
Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks. :)

Hi Stask, I was able to finally find a workbook in an "used books" store. I had a coupon so I got it for about $7US. I don't know if you will have any luck doing the same in the UK, but I just wanted to pass the information along.

Above is a link to a doc with the complete transcripts. It has all 52 lessons. I had been looking for ages, when I thought of scribd.com. Also, below are the complete audio files:

Right click on the files and save target/linked content to your desktop. If you want to set up to download all automatically, use the Firefox extension "DownloadThemAll!!" Hope this helps someone. |

Unfortunately, the transcripts have been removed from the scribd website, and the audio files require a password to download or play.
No big deal about the transcripts, since I got the textbook (for $20 or so), but I would really like audio files (without forking out $400).
