If you're wondering what the constructed language Esperanto is like, what are easy features and not-so-easy features, please join my free overview lecture: http://edufire.com/classes/13338-esperanto-in-1-hour-overvie w-of-a-fascinating-contested-language

Just 60 minutes and at the end you'll be able to translate a two-paragraph text, which has NOT been "dumbed-down".

Which time zone is the time given? "Next on Tuesday Jan 26 at 12:00 PM"

I would like to try it.

I don't know what the default is, but when you sign up to the site, I believe you get to set your timezone and have everything in your local time.

Many thanks Sprachprofi. I can't wait!

And fanatic, I just signed up and it says "Tuesday Jan 26 at 2:00 PM". The registration form asks for your timezone so it'll adjust accordingly.

I just looked up some other free courses on the site and there are many language-related lectures, if anyone else is interested.

I am afraid for me that the time in Melbourne, Australia, is Wednesday 7.00 AM. I have a breakfast appointment on that day. I will probably have to look for the next one. I hoped it would correspond with late Tuesday night, my time. I am disappointed.

Is it possible to have the class sent to my email or to get it some other way? I don't think I can break this breakfast appointment.

The class time is TUESDAY 9pm Berlin (CET), 3pm New York (EST), WEDNESDAY 7am in Melbourne, Wednesday 4am in Beijing. I believe that Edufire displays class times in Pacific Time when you're not logged in, but that may depend on your browser's country settings, I'm not sure.

I shall use the Adobe Connect in-built meeting recording tool, so that you will be able to see a video of the class if you're signed up. I can pass out the video URL, but Adobe & Edufire somehow prevent you from seeing the video if you weren't on the students' list.

Hope you can make it!
