What a nice thread this is.
It's hard to find good lyrics with good melody at the same time these days, because all of the rappers want to be gangsters now. I don't mind some swearing in rap, but rapping about being tough, money and women over and over is just so low, when you have these guys who do modern day poetry with great music and manage to do their songs with no swearwords at all to an extent that I am constantly amazed how someone can twist around the language so well. anyways my 2 cents of some good old school rap: German: I'm surprised no one mentioned Fettes Brot! Those guys really are modern day poets! Rap in English makes my ears bleed and my muscles spasm. It's just... So painful to listen to. When it's in another language however... It's somehow not so life threatening.

Yep, it certainly is pure Danish in that song. I just think that's how a lot of hip-hop ends up sounding in Danish. I'd also like to post a cult classic from the 90's which is famous for being in Southern Jutlandic, a Danish dialect.
