Actually this book is a like the Rosetta stone. But it actually works for Esperanto
because of the tidy grammar.

How can you be "not a fan" of a language you know nothing about? Maybe if you'd study it, you'd have some concrete reasons to dislike it other than just your psychological reactions.

could anyone please direct me to where I can download this book as I have an interest in
learning Esperanto and would like to have this around for when I have the time to
actually do it.
Thanks in advance.

The whole book in pdf can be downloaded from http://www.mediafire.com/?0itdgitozz0. The file is zipped up in 7z format.
Edit: The file may be password protected. If so, PM me for the password.

Maybe because even though I don't speak it, I still know a lot more than "nothing" about it. I have read up on the history and philosphy of the language; I've looked at the basic grammatical rules on word building and sentence formation; I've read the pronunciation guides and sounded out words. I just have never sat down and actually learned the language -- because what I have seen doesn't interest me.
Esperanto has many flaws which are not Zamenhof's fault -- they are just inevitable consequences of the approach to linguistics of his day.
Maybe if you didn't assume anyone who doesn't share your views is uninformed, you'd be able to engage in a productive debate rather than a slagging match.
