Hey Marina, now for the rest of your questions:
So, what's your reason to study Russian? I was very excited by the idea of "Russia the awakening giant" when the
Soviets were replaced, and all those clever but impoverished people (you lot!) bursting out to the international
scene, with energy, fashion, cleverness, culture, intelligence etc etc. When I travelled to Izhevsk, Perm,
Ekaterinburg, Volgograd, St Petes, Krasnodar and Moscow I felt very enthusiastic about the opportunities for your
country. So I just thought it would e fun to try and learn to speak!
What do you find the most difficult in this language? I find two things very hard: First the slight but important
differences in the vowels, from the way we say them. Secondly I am really slow to process and retrieve the
words I need from my memory when trying to make a sentence.
Can you write in Cyrillic on your computer? Not sure - I will check.

Marina, lastly some corrections:
You said: "Look, I am to translate a kind of dialog."
This is wrong, you could say: I am supposed to translate a kind of dialog,
or better: "I've got to translate..."
second mistake:
You said: "P.s. Could you correct me, If I did any mistake in writing above".
should have said: If I have made any mistakes in the above writing.
Or: If there any mistakes in the above writing.

Ken, thank you very much for your remarks and corrections. That was really helpful. That text was given in my university, and I don’t know who had made it, may be our teacher :) Yes, I saw the name of the song "Made in the shade" in the internet, but I could not understand. Unfortunately American English is more popular nowadays even in our university.
Don’t you mind if we will correspond on weekends, because I’m usually busy the whole day from Monday till Friday. Anyway you can ask anything during a week.
It would be better if you had Cyrillic at your comp. If you have it, write smth in Russian, about yourself or about anything you like. Just a few sentences. I will think what we can do with your Russian
Bye for now.

Hi Marina, yes I have cyrillic.
Unfortunately the two ways I am learning both follow the principle that one should start as a child does: by ear.
Later one starts looking at the letters, learning them first and then starting to spell. I am really at about the
same standard as a child of 18 months !
Anyway, here is a sentence just to test if it works:
лщьзгеук тэкщищкефуею
нф пщмукмг зфкгыылш тшьтщпф
I imagine that that was terrible?
Best!
Ken
PS. I will wait until weekends.

Hello!
My name is Marina. My native language is Russian. If you have any questions about Russian language, feel free to ask.
As for me, I study English at the University professionally, and sometimes I have some questions concerning for ex. slang, some grammar details, dialects etc. So, Here my goal is to find people(especially from English-speaking countries) who I can help with their Russian and from whom I can get help with my English.
So, what do you think? :) |

Как долго вы изучали английский язык?
Учишься ли ты какой-либо другой язык?
У меня есть друг, который Украинское говорит на русском, и он говорит на испанском очень хорошо. Он живет здесь в течение четырех лет.

У тебя хороший русский! Тебе повезло, что у тебя есть друг, который говорит по русски.
Давай я поправлю кое-что:
"У меня есть друг из Украины или У меня есть друг, он Украинец." Далее все правильно.

Hello Ken and Alberto. Merry Christmas!
Ken, I still don’t know how your Russian is, because you have not written me any sentence in Russian. The most difficult thing in English is to learn Tenses. In Russian first of all it’s conjugation of verbs according to a gender of a noun and of course declension of nouns according to case. These are two bases of Russian language.
Let’s try this:
Infinitive of some verbs: ending "ть" means "to" and shows infinitive and for ex. работа is a root
1)работать [rabotat’]- to work
2)жить [zhit’]- to live
3)ходить [hodit’]-to walk
4) ездить [ezdit’]-to go (by car, bus, etc)
5)(иметь [eemet’] - to have )= (есть [est’]- is more preferable –it means to have, there is/are
Я имею [Ya eemeu] = У меня есть[oo menia est’]- is more preferable – I have= there is no such construction in English- translation word by word: At me there is there is/are at me/ at my place)
Пример [preemer] – an example:
У меня есть собака – I have a dog
Местоимения [mestoeemeneeya]:
Я – I
Ты- You (old English - thou (If I'm not mistaken, it's close to Russian ты))
Он – He
Она – She
Оно - It
Мы – We
Вы – You
Они – They
Спряжение глаголов по лицам(conjugation of verbs):
Работать:
Я работаю
Ты работаешь
Он
Она –работает
Оно
Вы работаете
Они работают
Пример [primer] – an example:
Я работаю в компании/ на фабрике- I work at(in) a company/ at a factory
Задание[zadanie] – Exercise – Try to conjugate all verbs yourselfЖить:
Я живу
Ты живешь
?…
Ходить:
Я хожу
Ты ?
Он
Она ходит
Оно
?...
Ездить:
Я езжу
Ты ?
?
and so on
