I had a quick look at the Dutch test and I would find it interesting to do the exercises, but you are required to fill in all your personal data like full name, address, postcode, city and I don't want to give such personal information to a website where I don't want to register officially. I only want to do a test and nothing more.

51%, with about 30% being pure chance.

I don't know any Dutch, of course.

Fasulye, it works perfectly well with fake data, as long as you have an email address you use for anything that might lead to spam. (The result is sent by email.)

And I think they don't even check the data entered against a database if it is possible to have that address. Because, apparently, it is okay to live in Germanland. =)

I thought it was okay but it didn’t test enough to really say anything useful about someone’s level and there were a couple of questions that made me wince. “Jullie praten al goed Nederlands.” Seriously? Shame on whoever wrote that.

I got a 128/130 score (I suspect it’s my dreadful verb spelling but I can’t see which questions I got wrong) which is only five points higher than Kuikentje yet I was told my level is advanced (I should hope so!). Kuikentje, I don’t think A2 refers to the CEFR levels because I was advised to do an A-level course as well.

Thanks for the advice, I called myself Fasulye living in D. in Germany.

I think that you are already curious about my test results. Here they are:

QUOTE: "Dear Fasulye,

Thank you for completing our online Dutch test.

You have scored 122 correct answers out of 130 (93%), congratulations!
This score is equivalent to a good intermediate level in Dutch.

If you are interested in improving your Dutch then you would probably
be best suited to either our part-time A2-Level Dutch Course:
http://www.dutchlanguageschool.co.uk/evening/a2_level.htm
or to our distance-learning A2-Level Dutch Course:
http://www.dutchlanguageschool.co.uk/distance/a2_level.htm.. ." END OF QUOTE

When I score 93 % and they call it "a good intermediate level" this sounds a bit funny to me but I understand the strategy. They need to pull down the level of their candidates because with an attested advanced level nobody would feel a necessity to pay for their Dutch language courses.

The test itself I found well composed, but for me it was very easy to do.

Thank you for posting this test link, Kuikentje!
