LingQ forum contributors are "special". I don't particularly see a huge need to merge their threads and this one, and I'll request that the exact same people posting negatively about me so frequently in BOTH LingQ and HTLAL, keep the hate just on LingQ please.
As stated by Volte, I'd rather see a discussion that leads to something productive. If not, then let's just agree to disagree.
