"he who shall not be named" is currently taking courses to become a Spanish interpreter. Apparently the course is about interpreting techniques and the instructors are unaware (or don't care) that he cannot speak Spanish at all. I pity the poor fool who gets him as an interpreter in court. Poor guy, this is such a set-up for dismal disappointment.

I have read this several times now, I think I even get the "gist" of it, but really, what does it mean? Is it an analogy to video games Moses came up with? Some colloquial phrase? Some Krashen terminology, an Irish thing? It is so hard to keep pace with the latest language learning methodology ...
