While browsing the Brazilian Rolling Stone website, I came across a list of the 100 greatest Brazilian songs of all time. Each song is accompanied by a brief description of why it made the list, as well as a youtube video.

Of course, there'll never be any kind of agreement about this sort of things. I wouldn't put some of these "10 best songs" in my 100 best Brazilian songs list. Anyway, people will certainly enjoy most of them.

I treat those lists as introduction to the culture merely. I'm really not taking it literally and I don't think anyone is. It gives a good overview.
