My sister recently started studying Swedish. She's having a terrible time trying to find
Swedish music that is actually in the Swedish language. Any suggestions? Any genre works
except for metal and rap. That wouldn't really be ideal or trying to actually understand
words^^ Gracias!

Kent is the best band ever, but I must confess not even I understand them all the time, I would suggest starting with something different.
This is a very beautiful song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhtJD1iOIo4
And here is one other: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWUmyXknwpc
I know from my own experiences that it gets easier if it's slow :P

Great ideas, thanks.
And could you remember some metal bands as well, please? All I have found use English. I like the most symphonic metal, power metal or what are all the names of the "soft" metal. Thanks.

That's what my sister said. Too much English in the world. Haha.

Yeah, let's make Swedish the next lingua franca, English is getting boring ;-)
Now really. I'd appreciate if people appreciated more diversity. After all, you don't need to understand the lyrics to find the song including singing beautiful. The millions of people loving American or English music without understanding are a proof.
