Does anybody have any idea if the French audio on U.S. DVDs is dubbed in Quebec or
France? Obviously, right now, I don't know French, or I'd be able to answer that question
myself, but I do know that there is a big difference in pronunciation, and I don't want
to get the two mixed up and sound funny.
Sometimes, my DVDs mention Quebec. Most of the time, they don't mention anything. I don't
really care which pronunciation I learn because I'm mostly learning for the sake of
reading the news in French, but, nevertheless, I don't want to get it all mixed up.

They're usually dubbed in Quebec, but I've found that the pronunciation on dubbed US DVDs sounds somewhere between French and Quebecois. It confused me for a long time! But yeah, even though most are dubbed in Quebec, they don't have a strong, strong Quebec accent like people there usually have.
Another note: sometimes Disney movies have both French and Quebec dubs, and the dialogue can be quite different between the two.
