What are free live stream television online for German, i.e. a liveplayer service that
is not geographically blocked? News, culture, drama, debate, anything. I tried DW
Live, Das Eerste Live, and ZDF Live, and the latter two gave me a message about
geoblock. DW Live is just not working on my computer for some reason, so I assume that
it might be geoblock. I am getting a rather bad feeling that this may end up like
French for me, where I have a hard time with television because of geoblocks, or I
have to pay. Surely German being so widespread and important, there must be free
livestream or a player service that is not geoblocked?
Also is it possible to have one that is good for slow connections? My connection is
unstable and can go from 200 ms ping to 10000 ms for no reason. Sometimes the rate
shows 2 kbps, so if a livestream could handle this I would be grateful.
Example I get from ZDF Live:
Diese Sendung kan Ihnen leider wegen rechtlicher Beschränkungen nicht angeboten
werden. Wir bitten um Ihr Verständis.

ZDF generally geoblocks anything related to sports as well as movies. There are also some shows
that apparently just aren't allowed to be streamed live outside of Germany. Right now, for instance, I
can watch Dahoam ist Dahoam live on Bayerischer Rundfunk but I can't watch Die Sendung mit der
Maus live on Bayerischer Rundfunk's Alpha channel.
The main issue with the German networks isn't that everything is region restricted (thank goodness!),
it's that some things are and it's sometimes hard to figure out which shows are and which aren't.
