Rome was magnificent! Went around it all day, went on the hop-on, hop-off bus. You can get on and off all day for €20 for a 24 hour ticket. I went to St Peters, Colosseum and Trevi Fountain. In terms of my Italian, I was pleasantly surprised by how well I got on. I ordered food, got directions ok. The only time I struggled with the language was I didn't understand the Italian word for 'airline' when asking for information at Rome airport. 2 persons have voted this message useful | ||||||

Did 3 hours assimil scriptorum in last few days, finding that the two days I had off after Rome have really caught up with my comprehension
