Hi,
I have reached unit 11. while going through the grammar section, i have found out something rather disturbing. The first exercise (i.e practice I) assumes you are acquainted with a vast number of vocabulary that had been written somewhere in the beginning of the text. All nouns were presented in an earlier section, but with no special emphasize. That is the reason why i had thought that it is not necessary to learn those nouns.
Does that mean that every Spanish word in FSI should be learned by heart?
I am currently putting those nouns in an Anki deck just in case.
Did you do it differently?

Do you mean the exercise "gender identification"? The descriptive text says that all the nouns and modifiers are unknown, so nothing to worry about. The exercise is only about identifying masc. and fem. in general.
