Hi all!
I am planning to get "German is Fun" workbook to continue with my German studies. I have browsed through it before and it seems that it will be good for daily studies. I would say I'm at a A2 level - but never formally tested for it. However, I'm having a harder time finding a good Chinese workbook. Basically, I need something that I can do several exercises with sentence structure,etc. I will need the book to be both in pinyin and simplified (as my simplified knowledge is just starting). My level is very A1. I plan to do go on a serious language book shopping spree at the end of the week. So any suggestions, would be good. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Have you looked at Schaum's Chinese Grammar? (here)It covers the major points of Mandarin grammar, and has a lot of exercises with keys, so you can use it like a workbook. Also, it uses both characters and Romanisation.

Basic German grammar and workbook is what I use. I think there is an intermediate one
from the same publisher. It contains exercises with a key, rules and examples. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

I use the Practice makes Perfect series. An easy suggestion is to go on to Amazon.com and type in Chinese workbook or German workbook. Hopefully, there is enough on the descriptions to meet your interest and reviews of the books in question to determine possibly purchasing them. 1 person has voted this message useful |
