Now how shall I start...
Well, I'm a freshman in high school and am currently taking Russian 1, but the pace there is rather slow because, ironically enough, it's the slacker class in my school. The teacher offers after-school tutoring sessions every Thursday to those who really want to learn more, but since I really want to gain fluency, I think it would be nice to study on my own too and have a log to keep track of my progress.
So I am hoping by the end of the year I would have at least basic fluency (not sure if this goal is too small or too big, however.) The materials I have right now are Assimil Russian without Toil- which will be my main method,- Penguin Course, TY, and RussianPod101. I know that the old Assimil can be a bit outdated but I'm not really worrying about that since I have more modern material and a teacher I can talk to if I have any questions :)
(Oh and I've managed to get a copy of Modern Russian I & II, though I'm not sure how this audio-lingual method works... How much time are you supposed to spend on each drill/lesson?)
Also, I'm thinking of adding another language later- preferably after summer school. I'm thinking either... Italian or Romanian. But I'll decide then, for now this log will be completely Russian.
I really hope that this log would help me stay consistent in my studies and not just slack off like I usually do.

That's my corrections, if you need them.

Ah thank you; I wasn't sure about spelling and the last sentence. Is желаю not used nowadays? I saw it in Assimil as "I want."
И да, я девушка.

"Is желаю not used nowadays?"
It is used, but it not neutral and it is not the most common verb for "want". Your
sentence sounds as if you were a king. Unfortunately, хотеть is an irregular verb, while
желать is perfectly regular.

желать is more used to express a wish. Like it's used when wishing someone a happy birthday.
Which Assimil are you using?

But of course we are. It is just that my natural humbleness forbids me from saying that out loud :-)
