I must admit, I at times am an impatient guy. I don't always like learning words bit by bit, here and there, oftentimes i prefer remembering a whole lot of words all at once. I try memorizing about 100-150 words in an hour to about an hour and a half and 60 kanji at that same time. I was wondering if anyone else uses this method, or if not, what method do you use

I use three-column wordlists for that purpose, and with intermediate or basic fluency languages it is possible to get through a fair number of words pr. hour, - though 150 words (plus kanjis) in 1½ hour is probably too much unless you have a photographic memory.

turaisiawase has a knack for formulating catchy one liners - line after line after line of them. That diary would have been less sensational if written by people with less succinct writing style (and less to say)

I have to cram in most of the things I need to memorize. For example it's almost impossible for me to memorize numbers. With vocabulary I always try to see some logic in the words or to build up a small context. It would be hopelss for me anyway to memorize a huge amount of words. I rather digest smaller bits (1 page A5 for example) and then try to repeat them several times.

about 50-100 words in just sound (for Chinese), in writing, probably 10-20 for writing (Romance languages) (maybe 5-10 with perfect retention in Chinese)
