Remember that grammar rules are an approximate attempt to match what people say -- they never provide a 100% accurate picture of a language. While "since my childhood" matches the rule, it's just not something we normally say. Instead we say "since I was a child".
I started playing tennis last week. => I've been playing since last week. I started playing tennis a week ago. => I've been playing for a week. 1 person has voted this message useful | ||||||
