Thanks for reading! My Spanish has been on temporary hold since then (I'll start again
full-time after the February 6WC), but I was able to reach about B1 after 6 weeks. I was
able to master all the basics of grammar (tenses, conjugations, the most common irregular
verbs, etc.) If I had spent more time on speaking instead of reading, I'm sure I would
have been conversationally fluent within that time. It was exciting to make so much
progress so quickly, as opposed to in Japanese!

The resources I recommend the most highly are Michel Thomas for grammar and SpanishPod's
Newbie series for useful phrases and listening practice.

Have fun! I'll be competing with Esperanto as @bri_thought, so see you there!
