Some of the newer Assimil courses are available with a multimedia CD-ROM instead of the traditional audio CDs and
MP3 CDs. An example of this would be this version of Schwedisch ohne Mühe : http://assimil.com/descriptionProduitDetail.do?paramIdProdui t=2019¶mIdMethode=2136 What I'm wondering, though, is if these CD-ROMs still allow us to (legally) rip the audio files onto our computer hard drives and MP3 players. I don't know about the latest ones, but I borrowed some (which were probably 5 or 10 years old) from the library which you could rip. The only difference was that there was a separate track for every sentence, instead of for each lesson. The "Perfectionnement allemand" which I just got contains 1 cd-rom as you described as well as 4 cd's with just the
audio files. Can't say for certain, but I would imagine all assimil programs would follow suit. 1 person has voted this message useful |
