I did not add new words for German and reduced daily new words for Japanese in the last a few day in order to ease the workload a little bit. (What a good excuse for laziness!) But the Chinese New Year is coming up later this month so I need to take up the slack before it is too late to meet the monthly goal when I indulge in a holiday mood.

You got the correct date. I guess you have Chinese colleagues asking for leave on that day. :) Chinese and some peoples influenced by our culture celebrate traditional festivals according to the old Chinese Calendar. Japanese also celebrated them on the same dates for more than a thousand years. Unfortunately these dates have been moved to the Gregorian calendar since Meiji era so they will never coincide anymore.
