Added, thanks.

Any experiences with them, for the sake of anyone reading this thread?
I purchased _Seras-tu là ?_ by Guillaume Musso at audible.fr. It went straight to the iTunes application on my computer, very convenient. And there are some French audiobooks at the American iTunes store. For financial reasons I won't be buying many books this way.

There is a free site called litterature audio and I just finished listening to _Le Dernier jour d’un condamné _ by Victor Hugo on my iPod. It was read by "Pomme", very talented, and she has also recorded _Les Misérables_, unabridged, 67 hours.

Yes, I've downloaded 10 books in Spanish and I'm very pleased with the service and the audio quality. Just be aware that the files are in a proprietary format (.aa) and if you want to download them to your MP3 player you should make sure your player is capable of playing the files. Audible lists the compatible players on their website.

http://www.priviet.com/ (Russian)

Huge selection of original works and translations, all the Russian classics, reasonable prices, quick delivery, and overall professional impression.

I ordered a bunch of Dostoevsky and Chekhov disks, which were sent the next day. Judging by the confirmation mail the shop seems to be run by a single Russian living in the US, who invests a lot of passion into the project. This will be my first address for Russian audiobooks.

I've used Internet Bookshop twice now to buy Italian books and audiobooks. I'm been very happy with their services.

Added, thank you. Any tips for finding audiobooks on it? If there's a straightforward way to browse them, it's escaping me.

I haven't found any section dedicated to audiobooks so I just enter "audiolibro" in the search window.
