Two commercial German audiobook sites I have used for downloadable audibooks are:
http://www.claudio.de/
and
http://soforthoeren.de/
Both sites have a very large selection. Claudio.de usually provides information on whether the audiobook is a complete or abridged reading of the original, which can otherwise be difficult to determine.
For ordering audiobooks on CD's I have only used Amazon.de, but claudio.de site offers them too.

I'm happy to report that I found a newish supplier of downloadable Italian audiobooks, Emons. They have a nice selection of books with many of the books read by well known Italian actors and artists. I've already downloaded one audiobook (Uomini che odiano le donne), and I was very happy with it.

Audible.de has a wide selection of Italian audiobooks as well (and French, Spanish, English and of course German). I've just finished Uomini che odiano le donne too.

Here's a couple I really like that I didn't see on the list:
audiomol.com (Spanish)
Nice selection and some titles available for download on Audible for $25 or so are under $10 on this site
www.blackcat-cideb.com (French, German, Spanish, Italian)
They have bunch of graded readers generally targeted for A1 through B2 reading levels (depending on the
language). The texts are a combination of adaptations of classic texts and modern stories with supplementary
exercises, with audio generally about one hour in length. I've found them to be a nice prelude to tackling full-length
novels.
