Has anyone seen Assimil's Let's Learn French (Assimil's Direct series)?
Is it the same as French with Ease?

Sorry for the delayed response to this; I thought I had a copy of this book around the
house, but it wasn't where I thought it was and it took me a while to track it down.
The book is similar to the other Assimil books in format, but isn't the same as the
other French volumes that most people are familiar with. Physically, it's about twice
the size of most Assimil books, and has fewer lessons (49) and many more exercises than
the other Assimil books. So in a way it seems to be a compromise between the
traditional Assimil approach and a grammar-based textbook. It's still arranged in a
French-facing-English format, and is supposed to be done in two "waves".
One thing I like about it is that it gives pronunciation in the International Phonetic
Alphabet (IPA) rather than in the idiosyncratic "phonetic" script that the other
Assimil books use. It apparently came with audio, but I don't have the audio.
My copy was copyrighted in 1976, and says "Book 1", so there may have been other
volumes, at least intended. It's got 413 pages.
To help identify it in case anyone should have the audio, lesson one starts out:
(au marche)
Le marchand de legumes: Bonjour, Madame. Ca va, ce matin?
Madame Pelletier: Oh oui, moi, ca va. Et vous, Monsieur?
...
The ISBN number is 2.7005-0066-0
