What's the best way to express that your Spanish or other language is good or bad?
Mi espanol es/no es bueno
Mi espanol es/no esta bien
Mi espanol es/no esta bueno
Also, how would you ask the question?
Como esta tu espanol?
Gracias,
Steven

Does it just have to be good or bad? No other qualifier? Somewhat good/bad? Can maintain a basic/lively/complex/whatever conversation? I would think being able to express yourself in terms other than just good or bad would be a better indicator.

No, but that's the basic sentence. Once the correct basic sentence is confirmed, any qualifier can be added, like "muy".

Its gotta be either
a) Como estás tu español? (informal) or

here the subject is español, not you.
your first sentence is kinda like "how are your Spanish?"

Oops, another mistake.
Today's just not my day.
I swear I've never made this mistake before.
Thanks for correcting.
