Is there a Spanish audiobook version of _La Reina del Sur_? I've been reading it in English; I plan to read it in Spanish, but would like a good audiobook version so I can improve my pronunciation/listening comprehension also.

One was produced, however I haven't been able find anyone selling it. You can find downloads on file
sharing sites.

I too have been looking for this audio book in Spanish. Why does it seem impossible to buy anywhere? If anyone knows where this can be purchased I would appreciate it.

I have sent an email to the author, asking him to try make this available again. I would be glad to pay for it to possess it legally. Who knows if the author will actually see the message
I also contacted audible.com in the US, suggesting that the offer it.
If they can make a record breaking telenovela of the novel, I'm sure someone can make money selling the audiobook.

A couple years ago I read an article (I think it was in El Pais) talking about how audio books still weren't very popular in Spain, in comparison with France, the US, etc. The article mentioned that most audio book production in Spain was geared towards providing titles for the visually impaired. These audio books aren't sold through normal commercial channels -- and if there is government funding involved in their production, it could be that they can't be sold period.
UPDATE: I can confirm that the pirated version of this title contains the message, "esta grabación ha sido efectuada para uso exclusivo de ciegos." It also states it was recorded in 2002 and produced by el Servicio Bibliográfico de la ONCE (Organización Nacional de Ciegos). Their webpage is: http://www.once.es/new

I actually have the audio tapes... I torrented it over the summer. It's okay quality. But it's spoken in Castillian so I
didn't listen to it because I didn't wan't to turn my then developing, Latin American accent into a mixture of Spanish
and Mexican haha.
