So I'm starting to study some French since I just moved to Belgium.
- I'm doing Pimsleur French while driving to/from work... one lesson per day.
- I starting to study "French in Action"... I have the Textbook, Workbook, videos, and audio files. I plan to study FIA for approx 1 to 1.5 hours (almost) every day.
Question for experienced FIA users: What should my FIA study schedule look like?
For example:
One option: Study one lesson per week (reviewing the same lesson for multiple days in a row).
Another Option: Study one lesson per day (L02 Mon, L03 Tue, L04 Wed, etc.)... maybe do L01-L05 in five days, and then go back and review L01-L05 again over the next five days. Then do the same for L06-L10.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I used FIA to teach myself French 20 years ago and based on my experience, I would
suggest that the pace you are proposing is far too fast. As you may have already
observed, there is a great deal of work packed into each of the audio lesson files and
each lesson builds on the ones before it. Moving on before thoroughly mastering the
material in a lesson is, in my opinion, a sure way to become lost and/or discouraged
very quickly.
Make no mistake, I love FIA and think that Pierre Capretz is a genius. But the way to
go with his method is to make haste slowly.
If you have any other questions, I'll be happy to help as best I can.
Bonne continuation!
