Hello! So as you can see above - Vikruti Evam Prakriti - is a phrase out of the Rigveda. I would like to be able to type
this phrase out in Sanskrit or Hindi. Here is where my problem is, I don't know how close these languages are when written. I know that Ancient Sanskrit and Sanskrit are (somewhat) different, but where does Hindi fit in? I think I have managed to type it out in Hindi using a phonetic website. However, I am not sure whether it's correct, or carries the same meaning... PLEASE HELP! Here's what I got: (pictured below to ensure everyone can see) Thank you so much for your help!

I do not understand. You managed to transliterate the Sanskrit quote into devanagari, but what has this to do with Hindi, which is another language altogether (in the way Latin differs from Italian). You did not translate it. 1 person has voted this message useful | ||||||

Well, I had acquired some erroneous info from a friend which lead me to believe that these two languages were quite similar (Hindi and Sanskrit). Yes, I attempted to use the transliteration tool, and it produced some intelligible results that even Google Translate was able to pick up. Thus, I furthermore thought I was right since the literal translation of the phrase wasn't given anywhere, only the "rough" one, so again I thought I was on the right path, thanks to Google Translate. So, can anyone lead me in the right direction and help me write this out in CORRECT Sanskrit, even better in Ancient Sanskrit? How different are these two anyway? As far as I know, only some letters differ between the two. Hence, not too much. But, I could be wrong. Notice that nature is written "prakṛtiḥ", not *prakritiḥ, i.e. the second r is vocalic. The same with vikṛtiḥ
You shall write the m of "evam" with anusvāra, because the following word begins with a consonant. I thought it is vikṛtiḥ + evam + prakṛtiḥ -> (with sandi) vikṛtirevaṃ prakṛtiḥ (this was sort of tinkering around, I am not so sure about that) Without context I would have translated: Changed condition (of body and mind) is indeed nature (= natural). PS. What do you want that sentence for? To promote same-sex-love without anybody noticing? (no offence intended) PPS. I always use Itranslator 2003 to write devanagari, but the program is broken on my computer now, so I give only the Latinized transliteration.
