I translated Rammstein lyrics directly to Dutch instead of English... I was taking German class at the same time I first got into them, so for me it was easy to just figure out what that was all about. But then again the language is closer to Dutch so figuring it out wasn't immeasurably hard.

German's cases are deceiving though.

I don't have too much trouble memorizing German nouns, but their genders and plural forms are another story.

That's why Rammstein's translated lyrics made pretty good sense to me. But then when I actually studied the language I was like whoa... this is hard.
