I am in the lucky position of starting private Spanish lessons 5 days a week for an hour.
My teacher is native speaker but not a qualified teacher. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a text
book in Spanish that wil structure the lessons sufficiently .
First time poster, thanks in advance!
Btw - I am a false beginner to Spanish

Perhaps some Spanish only book? Some are really good and some are even intensive courses so they are not that slow. Look in you closest larger bookshop and find one which will suit you. I'd say the L1-L2 coursebooks are best used for selfstudy.
It's hard to advice because there is a huge amount of such materials. Just look at what is available. My friends used Nuevo Ven but it is just one textbook of many. Perhaps look at what uses institut Cervantes or some other high-quality courses.
