One circumstance where I think it may suit intermediates is where you feel that you know a lot of vocabulary and grammer, but you feel that your spoken production needs some help.
The course gets you forming sentences and producing Spanish from the very early stages.
I would describe myself as intermediate now (whatever that might mean), but often when I am struggling to get words out in conversation, I go back to the structures that I learned through Synergy.
Apart from this, it probably is a little basic for the intermediate student.
