My library had a book sale and after it was over you could come in and get as many books as you wanted for free. I found three Russian books and picked them up automatically. I was leafing through one of them and found that it referred to Russia as the USSR and so I was wondering if the books are still current in regards to the language. (all of them are dated before the dissolution). any information would be helpful, thanks.

They'll be fine. People might call each 'comrade' ('Tavarish'), and if they were printed
in Moscow, the book will probably be eager to show how great everything is in the USSR etc. The language hasn't changed, and it'll make an interesting history lesson. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Many of the USSR language books and courses are great to use. They are very helpful.
