Any reference to Yoda's language is useless: his speech patterns are very irregular and you'd be hard pressed to determine a specific word order. Other than that, it's interesting to find that SOV used to be more common than SVO.

Hmm.... Interesting that an article claiming SOV opens with a sentence that opens with a verb....

I'd characterize Yoda's speech as much more frequently OSV than SOV.
