I'm guessing you didn't get nearly enough vocabulary from Pimsleur to jump right into movies or TV. That's why I'd suggest a conventional text-based course (that even explains the grammar!) even if you have no desire to read or write.
But if you really want to stick to audio based material you might want to try the free podcasts from Deutsche Welle: http://www.dw-world.de/dw/0,,2547,00.html I didn't try the larger beginner course, but the Wieso Nicht podcast was very entertaining and gets you exposed to informal German spoken in a variety of accents. 1 person has voted this message useful |
