OK, they have another product called "Total French" Here with a similar description, but for beginners. Since it would be INSANE for Hodder to make an inferior version of the course Thomas did so well, I can only assume that the above is a re-marketed version of the old 'Advanced Course'. What a pity. :-(

The name "Total French" makes it sounds like just a boxed set of the existing courses, but the description doesn't match....

well, I have emailed hodder via the michel thomas website and will report back what their
response is. I too imagine it is just a repackaging of the existing courses. If not
these new courses would no longer have MT on them obviously. Plus, the claims for the
course seem ridiculous.

Hodder have failed to reply to me, so unfortunately, I can't shed any more light on the
situation.

I agree with magictom123. The claims are ridiculous. No single course can take you to the level described. It almost reminds me of the hype-advertising employed by the Rosetta Stone people.
Although I personally don't care for the Michel Thomas method (too much English and constant translation), I thought better of the company.

These "new" versions appear to be mere reshuffling & repackaging of the familiar CD versions. To see
exactly what these offerings comprise, check following website. All will be made clear.

It seems that the purchaser will end up getting (i.e., paying for) the all-dreaded vocabulary courses
whether she wants them or not!
I hope this is helpful to all interested in the original MT courses.
