I have had an easy week this week. I have watched a lot of cycling (at least 2 hours
each day) in Italian but haven't really actively done much else in Italian. Tomorrow I
am going to re-read everything I have read so far in the HP books. That should keep
me busy. I have just done ANKI for today, reviewing 135 words in 6 minutes and only
getting 5 words wrong. Not bad.

Since the last update I have watched another episode of Cantieri d'Italia. I listened
to the audio for the first chapter of the first Harry Potter book. Right now, the
cycling is on the TV and I'm watching that in Italian - it will be on for another 3
hours or so. I can understand virtually everything that the two main commentators say
now. Even the little bits here and there I don't understand can be figured out through
context most of the time.
I am going to go through ANKI once the cycling has finished and probably watch more
Italian TV later this evening.
I am currently thinking of a suitable short term goal to aim for that will give me some
focus above and beyond general improvement. The exams I have mentioned in earlier
posts are one thing but they are still a while off. So far, my idea is to record a
video in Italian and post it on Youtube for some feedback. We'll see what happens.

I have just finished watching the 6th episode of Cantieri d'Italia. Once again I
understood virtually everything in the episode. This afternoon I watched the Tour de
France in Italian for around 2 hours or so. I will do the same again tomorrow.

Wow, it's been almost a month since I last wrote something here - how the time flies!
Well, I am still continuing on but there is not so much new to write so I don't want to
just repeat myself over and over. I'm watching Italian TV and reading online articles,
using ANKI and plan to recommence with the HP book after a short break.
The original goal I outlined in the first post in this log was to reach B2 in Italian by
the end of the year. I think I am still on track for this and will likely pick things up
towards the end of the year (especially if I decide to sit a CEFR exam).
