Hi! I, like many others, have found that the L-R method is one of the most effective and enjoyable ways to learn. However, I often wonder about the usefulness of the vocabulary I am learning from this method. And when I say "usefulness" I mean personally, more than survival wise. For instance, I love music. It is my passion even more than languages. So when I talk to people, I like to talk about music. When I read, I like to read about music. Now I'm finally getting to the point.
Wouldn't it be great If I could buy a reader with audio, that is all about music. It would be great if there was a series of readers in many languages, each with about 10-20 different readers that are based on different topics. I have never heard of anything like this, but I was wondering what you think about it.
I should also point out that it would be great if audio was recorded twice. Once by a man and once by a woman. I find it somewhat difficult to find audio recorded by a woman. I would rather not sound like a man...

It would be great. It's also not strictly necessary. Once you get to the point where you have a decent base in a language, you can learn the terminology of your passions from sources for native speakers - books, magazine articles, online videos, etc.
I find that learning to speak about topics I'm passionate about is far easier than learning about everyday items I almost never have any reason to discuss or read/hear about, simply because I tend to seek out material which uses the relevant vocabulary, out of the sheer fun of combining my interests.
L-R generally won't provide you with this terminology, unless you happen to be very lucky.
