Solfrid: When I hear 'tulta', I think of a little little girl (en liten tulta) who is in the age where she "tultar fram" (that is, walking in that cute and bouncy way).
So it is used as a noun, and the noun is related to the particular way of walking. At least that's what my Swedish intuition tells me. Zohan: Your assumptions are correct. 'Dallra' is more towards flabby than shaky though. If you would shake your body, you would see your body fat 'dallra'. :) 1 person has voted this message useful | |

My progress so far: 5371 sentences, I have to revise 63 today.
Watched 45 minutes of Jönssonligan spelar högt. Read a thread on Flashback about a lunatic who wants to become like Anders, the Norwegian killer. I have two words that I have no idea what they mean. Also, my biggest problem is with the words redlig and ingående, I always screw them up, thinking they mean something else than they really mean.

pågen: Means 'boy' or 'guy'. Only used in southern Sweden (Skåne).
Galonisar: This word is a child-like version of the word 'galonbyxor' (waterproof pants, made by galon). Saying 'galonisar' would make me think about 5-year olds playing and jumping around in the rain. :) 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Not very often do I see skånska words written down on paper!
I have got two more questions: What is sabla from "Jag sa en sabla på föredraget"? What is mecka ihop from "varför ska man köpa marijuana och sen precis innan man meckar ihop allt så tänker man "nu kommer mitt liv bli förstört"?"?. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

'Sabla': This sentence makes no sense. 'Sabla' is a mild swear-word (and doesn't sound too nice). It's usually thrown in to make an expression stronger. If you would say "Jag sa en sabla massa på föredraget", you could roughly translate it to: I said a *** of a lot of things on the presentation.
'Mecka' is what you do when you're fixing your car (mecka med bilen), or when you're trying to get your moped to work. 'Mecka' makes me think of a guy with a wrench or something. 'Mecka ihop': Hard to explain. Think of mixing together several components in order to get something to work. (keep the picture of a guy with a wrench in mind). I don't like the word mecka because I keep confusing it with meta, to fish. Plus they all
