I just received an advertisement for Linguaphone All Talk. It said, basically, that if you liked Pimsleur (which I do, very much, and am using now) you will like Linguaphone All Talk. It said it is an excellent next step for those who wanted more Pimsleur beyond what is available. Any thoughts from others would be very much appreciated. I would be interested the French All Talk. I should add that I also like Michele Thomas very much, and I am using it in conjunction with Pimsleur.

I tried using All Talk to pick up Italian again a few years ago, but it started off so slow that I just couldn't get into it. This was after high school Italian and MT, and after reaching a good level in Spanish.

As a Spanish speaker, and having done MT and Pimsleur, I reckon you'd feel the same.

Linguaphone's full course is excellent to use. I would not recommend All Talk as a follow up to Pimsleur. If you want all audio, I would suggest the all audio part from the Living Language Ultimate series. These courses are out of print, but Transparent Languages is sell the audio only part of the series as Everywhere Audio Course.

Don't bother - but do get a copy of 1970s-90s Linguaphone course (the one by Max Bellencourt) and
ponder over it for a year or so - It is excellent.

I found a website that offer a "sample" of the first lesson of All Talk French. Wow!! You were right. It was probably about a half an hour long but it seemed tortuously longer for me. I think that for a language that one has never studied it would be very helpful but, as you so correctly said, not if you had completed the other programs.

Linguaphone also produces an advanced course, that used to sell as 'intermediate' until they shifted the goal-posts. Most of the Linguaphone courses I have used have been excellent, and apart from the excessive prices, I do recommend them.

Where did you hear that Living Language Ultimate was out of print? It looks alive and well on Amazon. I know they have re-released the series with new covers, and I think they also include a CD-Rom now.

About two weeks ago, I was on the company web site. They were not in print. They had a few titles. Mostly some books only. Amazon was selling them from 3rd parties. If this has changed it is good news.
