Wow! I see I haven't updated in 3 weeks... Some things came up and I had to drastically reschedule my goals. Maybe I planned to do too much in a very short amount of time.
One of the things I did notice since I started my log, is that my confidence level of my knowledge in Russian has increased dramatically. Russian I've finished the first two chapters of Russia without Borders and finished reading Metro 2034. Now I've started to read "12 Chairs" by I. Il'f and E. Petrov. My work on grammar is lacking behind in schedule, but it's just rather boring to do. One a more positive note, I can now practise speeking 3 hours a week. Not to mention all the hours I spend chatting in Russian. Nearly forgot; I watched 2 Russian movies called 'Alexander, the Battle of Neva' and 'Turkish Gamble'. Persian For Persian I finished unit 4 and started unit 5 of Spoken World Farsi, as well as completing the first half of unit 5 of Colloquial Persian. Fortunately the grammar isn't too difficult, but vocabulary on the other hand... For the time being I'm not using Assimil as actively anymore, but I might change my mind along the way. Turkish I've nearly completed Unit 1 of Teach yourself Turkish, during the last weeks I didn't really have time to focus on Turkish much. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

The last week wasn't one of my most productive weeks, but it wasn't so horribly as to make me depressed.
Russian This week for Russian I've only used native resources. I've listened to a series of BBC Russian podcasts, watched another Russian movie and read around 75 pages of "12 chairs". And I've bagged another 3 hours of speaking with natives! PersianI've completed unit 5 of Colloquial Persian and started on unit 6. Didn't progress much in unit 5 of Spoken World Farsi, except some vocabulary studies. Now I'm starting to feel the vocabulary of previous units is starting to (finally) sink in. Turkish Finally completed unit 1 of Teach Yourself Turkish and started on the next unit. For this week; I've to start focussing on Russian grammar and expanding my vocabulary extensively. Martinovich, are you using the old version of Colloquial Persian or the new one? The newer one uses the Persian alphabet instead of "Finglish". I am using the older one but I'd love to try the new one and was wondering if anyone on HTLAL is using it already.
