You stated overtly at the beginning that your goal was to speak both language to a high level of fluency and that your weakest skill (in Japanese, at least) was speaking, and yet, I don't see anything related to speaking in your daily summaries.
I posted an oral exercise yesterday on my log that I think might be helpful for you, especially since you are already watching videos. It should allow you to leverage the time you spend viewing, and help you speak more. It's also an exercise you can do at times where other study methods are unusable. I just checked out your oral exercise; it looks great and I am going to work it into my weekly studying, and I can definitely see it becoming a bigger part of my study routine in 2012.

Mandarin: Listened to Pimsleur lessons 59, 60, 61, 62, 88, 89, 89, 90; anki reviews Daily total: 3.5 hours Running total: 75.25/500 I finished the last Pimsleur lesson today. I really liked Pimsleur, although I wish they had a big review lesson at the end that brought all the vocab and all the structures from the 90 lessons together. I will continue to review a few Pimsleur lessons each day while I move on to FSI materials. School starts this week so I really need to max out my time management. Wish me luck.
