It's been a very long time ago that I posted here for the last time. Much has changed
in my life and therefore also in my language learning.
Soon after my last post I made a rather spontaneous decision to accept a job offer in
Bulgaria despite not knowing anything about the country or the language. It was a great
time and naturally, I learned some Bulgarian on the way.
By now I'm back in Germany. For the last couple of months I've been flirting with my
newest language interest, Arabic. I've taken a class and have also started to study on
my own.
I never thought I would study Arabic, as I always considered the pronunciation too
difficult. And it really is difficult, but our teacher (who is Tunesian) is probably
way too nice in understanding what we are trying to say.
With the new languages, I've been sadly neglecting most of my "old" ones and right now
I don't think I'm going to do anything about Czech or Spanish.
I'm still actively "studying" Norwegian though; "studying" in quotation marks because
it's mostly reading books/ listening to radio, and not grammar study or anything like
that.
My focus is on Arabic now.
