This thread has deviated from the OP's subject- Aromanian. I am interested in knowing more from our community about this somewhat obscure European romance language. Instead, this topic has degenerated into whether or not one of our language learning luminaries is using "language barely used by natives".
In English when discussion turns to technical or scientific matters, a more Latinate vocabulary is used in order to be more precise. This is one of the features of our language that makes it highly useful in, and adaptable to, almost any situation. Iversen's vocabulary is quite clear, precise, unambiguous and perfectly comprehensible and appropriate to me, as a native English speaker, in this technical discussion related to the distinction between Romanian and Aromanian. I'd love to know more about Aromanian beyond what I can find on Wikipedia. I hope we can dispense with critiquing other members' use of English and get back to discussing Aromanian, this is an interesting subject.
